Succesvolle stickeractie 'Gentechfriet eet ik niet' voortgezet

Honderden stickers met deze boodschap werden onder het motto 'Gentechfriet smaakt me niet, gentechfriet eet ik niet' verspreid tussen 29 september en 7 oktober. De stickeractieweek vond plaats in het kader de jaarlijkse Week van de Smaak waarin de aardappel centraal stond deze keer. Bezorgde burgers plakten de proteststickers in de buurt van snackbars, supermarkten, veldproeven met genetisch gemanipuleerde aardappels en ook de landbouwuniversiteit in Wageningen werd niet overgeslagen. Velen krijgen blijkbaar, net als wij, een nare bijsmaak van de gentechprojecten van BASF en WUR en steken dat niet onder stoelen of banken. Maar de boodschap is nog niet overgekomen, getuige de recentelijk verleende vergunning voor weer meer veldproeven van BASF. Dus ASEED gaat nog even door en roept iedereen op mee te doen met stickers en protestkaarten. Hoe, waar en waarom lees je hieronder.

Boek: Legal! Optimisme - realiteit - hoop

De Vlaamse organisatie voor een rechtvaardige en verantwoorde landbouw Wervel heeft het boek 'Legal! uitgegeven. Het boek linkt ons Europese consumptiepatroon aan de vernietiging overzee en bevat tal van greenwashvoorbeelden in Brazilië en Europa. De schrijver Luc Vankrunkelsven verblijft al vele jaren een groot deel van het jaar in Brazilië en heeft daarbij altijd de expansie van de sojaproductie op de voet gevolgd.

Good Food March for sustainable, fair, GMO- and patent-free food and agriculture
dinsdag, 25 september 2012 10:54As the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for 2014-2020 is being debated in Brussels, people 
in Europe are taking action for a complete overhaul of the current CAP, which favours trade-orientated, large-scale industrial farming and stimulates surpluses dumped in the Global South. The Good Food March is an initiative supported by over 100 European organisations who demand a fair and sustainable food system and agriculture in Europe and in the South. The initiative included actions in countries throughout Europe and bike tours from meeting points in The Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Belgium and France to Brussels that continued for several weeks.
